Circlehook brings airhush AnD VOLUME Veil to virtual production

CircleHook’s team of audio and production experts are at the forefront of innovation, testing and deployment of new and in-development technologies for high-quality dialog capture and diffusion of light in Virtual Production Volumes.

Since 2017, CircleHook has customized and overseen AirHush installations in Workspaces, Trade Shows, Recording Studios, and Commercial locations to reduce unwanted noise without interrupting light or lines of sight.

When CircleHook founder and AirHush CCO Michael Quinby was approached by the Netflix team at the North American Music Merchants (NAMM) 2020 show, production teams were just beginning to encounter the expensive problem of delivering useable dialog in the rapidly evolving realm of Virtual Production.

The AirHush ISAT system promoted by CircleHook perfectly fits the need for transparent sound baffling and attenuation in a filming environment reliant on ambient light, unlike traditional materials such as curtains, foam, and insulated panels.

After rigorous trials and adaptations made working closely with Grip, Motion Capture and Sound Mixing teams, CircleHook has developed strategies and protocols for deploying AirHush and Volume Veil on set to help production teams save big on ADR budgets and production timelines.
